The Hipp grant application consists of two parts.
1. Coversheet and Sections 1-6: A complete explanation of your project summary, objectives, timeline, assessment and detailed budget and how they coordinate.
2. Final Steps: Review, proof, and edit your application. Download and save a PDF copy of your application. Email a copy of your application and information about the Hipp grant to your local president and superintendent or college president for their review. Agree with the statements and confirm, and the electronic signature section will be revealed. Request and receive electronic signatures through the application portal.
§ Once the Coversheet and Sections 1-6 of the application are complete, proof it for grammar, spelling and that you have adhered to the guidelines and directions for each section. Download and save a PDF copy.
§ Before requesting the local association president and superintendent or college president’s electronic signatures, provide a copy of your application for them to review and advise them they will receive a request for an electronic signature of support from “NJEA Hipp Foundation” via email.
§ All three electronic signatures must be received by the Foundation through the application portal on or before March 1 to qualify. Applicants should allow ample time to obtain signatures to meet this deadline.
§ If your district requires board approval prior to the superintendent or college president's signature may be completed, start that process early in the grant application process and share your grant idea or concept. The local president and superintendent or college president will review your completed application before you request their electronic signature.
§ Once electronic signature requests are sent out, you will receive an email notification as each individual electronic signature is received.
§ Once all three required electronic signatures are received, sign back in and SAVE and FINALIZE your application. The application will be locked from editing.
